Hannah Hall Eastman, MA

Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor
Trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy

Starting therapy can feel nerve-racking and overwhelming, especially when you are unsure what to expect or where to begin.

I want you to feel that our time together is meaningful and genuinely helpful. You do not have to talk about anything before you are ready, and you are always welcome to share what you need from me and what you hope to gain from therapy.

My goal is to meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you move toward greater healing, connection, and wholeness.

Who I Help

I enjoy working with people across many ages and stages of life, including children as young as five, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

Because of my background in education, I have a particular appreciation for working with children, teenagers, parents, teachers, school counselors, and others navigating the pressures of school and family life. I understand that struggles rarely exist in isolation—they are often connected to what is happening at home, at school, in relationships, and within ourselves.

Faith-based counseling is always optional and is incorporated only when requested. Whether or not faith is part of your therapy, you will be welcomed and respected.

You may be a good fit for me if you are:

  • Feel overwhelmed by stress or emotions that are affecting your life and relationships

  • Are navigating changes or challenges within your family

  • Want to better understand yourself and your emotional world

  • Feel caught in patterns that you do not fully understand

  • Are struggling to communicate or feel connected in an important relationship

  • Want support for your child or teenager

Areas of Support

My Approach

My work is primarily grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an attachment-based approach that helps us understand our emotions, relationships, and recurring patterns.

I approach therapy through the lens of human connection which I often call attachment. Our earliest and most important relationships can shape how we understand ourselves, respond to difficult emotions, and connect with the people around us.

I also integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), an approach that helps us gently explore and understand the different parts of our inner world. In our sessions, we may talk about the cycles in which you feel stuck, the parts of you that emerge during difficult moments, and the emotions beneath your reactions. We will slow things down so you can better understand what is happening both within you and in your relationships.

When working with young children, I use developmentally appropriate play, art, games, and creative activities grounded in attachment principles even via Telehealth. With adolescents who need practical tools for managing intense emotions, I may incorporate skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

For clients requesting faith-based counseling, I thoughtfully integrate Christian beliefs and spiritual concerns into our work. I believe attachment-based therapy can offer a meaningful way to explore our relationships with ourselves, others, and God. We can discuss what faith integration will look like for you and ensure that it supports your goals for therapy.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

I strive to create a calm and welcoming environment where you can feel safe being yourself.

You may find me sitting with a cup of coffee, ready to listen carefully and help you make sense of what you are experiencing. I believe there is room in therapy for both tears and laughter. I am always honored when someone trusts me enough to share the difficult, vulnerable, or deeply human parts of their story, and I may even tear up alongside you.

You do not need to perform, have the right words, or arrive with everything figured out. We will work together, and you are always welcome to tell me when something does not feel helpful or when you need something different from our time together.

My Hope For You

I hope therapy helps you experience a greater sense of hope and peace.

I want you to feel more grounded in who you are, better able to understand what is happening within you, and more confident in caring for your emotional needs.

Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, your relationship, or your family, I hope that you leave therapy feeling more connected, more understood, and better equipped to navigate what comes next.

A Little More About Me

Before becoming a mental health therapist, I spent seven years in public education as an elementary school teacher, middle school teacher, and school counselor.

That experience gave me an inside understanding of the pressures faced by students, parents, teachers, counselors, and other school employees. It also helps me consider the many ways a child’s school environment, development, friendships, and family relationships may intersect.

My husband serves as a pastor, which has also given me personal insight into the joys and challenges of ministry life. I understand how isolating ministry can sometimes feel and how difficult it may be to find a trustworthy place to discuss personal struggles, family concerns, church conflict, or the weight of caring for others.

I offer both in-person and Telehealth appointments.
